Recycled Rainbow uses 5 principles and two rules to form its core guidelines. The two rules are a mustWhile we can be defined by these, we are also much more than them.
Our Only Two Rules
No Vending – You cannot sell or buy anything at Recycled Rainbow. Gifting is encouraged. Create! Share! This is not barter. It’s all for the joy of giving and receiving with no money involved.
Leave No Trace – There are no trash cans at Recycled Rainbow. Pack it in, pack it out. Leave the site looking as good or better than when you arrived.
5 Principles
Participation - Those who work to manifest what they desire usually come a lot closer to realizing their dreams than those who don’t. Create! Perform! Make a theme camp! Volunteer for one of our teams! Help others! The more you participate, the greater the reward for you and the entire community!
Preparation – Be sure you have all you need to survive 4 days at a campground where only water, electricity and bathrooms are provided. You must bring everything else you need to create the kind of event you wish to experience.
Decentralization – While there are organizers and team leads who work to make sure essential infrustructure is in place, we do not present or organize any art, performance, or activity. Anyone can create anything at any time and make it available for all if they want to. It’s all up to you. This is your event. DIY.
Respect – Be aware of your actions. Be willing to listen to your neighbors needs as well as expressing yours. Do not knowingly harm yourself, others or the land.
Responsibility – Be prepared! Be respectful! Share your time, creativity, physical activity, your very own unique talents and abilities.
Our Vice Principle
Uncertainty – Anything can happen. Be prepared physically and mentally for the unexpected. You may find yourself stepping out of your comfort zone, or finding ways to maintain it amidst a constantly changing experience. Some people experience personal transformation, others do not.
