What Is Recycled Rainbow?

Recycled Rainbow is a four-day event inspired by the Burning Man festival. Everything is organized, built and paid for by volunteers with their own resources. There are no trash cans, so you’ll have to pack your trash out with you. There are no vendors, so you have to bring enough food, drink and whatever else you need for four days. There are no schedules or rules, so you’ll have to make things happen yourself and respect your neighbor.

Yes, that right! Your favorite burners, artists, musicians, participants, and friends are having a “Recycled Rainbow: 2010: Deception?” kick-off mixer at the one and only PJ McIntyre Irish Pub!

Don’t know any of us? Well this is a great chance to meet up and introduce yourself. This is a mixer, meetup, party, celebration, opportunity to remove cabin fever, what have you… not a fund raiser.

This is a public all-ages event!

Note: This is a family diner/pub. Under 21 are welcome but cannot be served any alcohol.

All entrants to the lower level of the pub will be required to pay the $5 entry fee.

This is a wonderful location! We’re very close to I-71 – right on Lorain Ave – big sign in the front – can’t miss it. We’ve got the whole lower level of the Pub to ourselves, our own bartender with a fully stocked bar, DJ system, big screen TV to play whatever we wish, plenty of parking in the back, and bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs.

Music will be provided by a variety of DJ’s, including RR veteran Larry Szyms!

We will have some special guests representing local culture-hacking organizations such as Notacon (where we will be representing this year April 15th & 16th!) , Makers’ Alliance, Cleveland Hoop Dance, and the Failure Society! Interested in learning more about them? Maybe even interested in joining them? Here is your chance to meet them in person!

Members of the Recycled Rainbow community are donating towards a half-keg of beer along with appetizers, though you can order anything from the bar, and you’re welcome to order from the Pub’s kitchen upstairs. Other than the donated keg, any drinks ordered at the bar are at the Pub’s prices. If you are drinking from the keg, we ask that you at least kindly tip the bartender.

Some of us in the RR community are also donating towards raffle prize(s), TBA!

*This is not a fundraiser.* The $5 entry fee is to defray the cost of the event.

**While the event has some free food and free beer, it’s also first come, first serve!
