Recycled Rainbow is a four-day event inspired by the Burning Man festival. Everything is organized, built and paid for by volunteers with their own resources. There are no trash cans, so you’ll have to pack your trash out with you. There are no vendors, so you have to bring enough food, drink and whatever else you need for four days. There are no schedules or rules, so you’ll have to make things happen yourself and respect your neighbor.

This year’s ticketing system will work differently than in past years. With an increased population of participants, Recycled Rainbow has gotten more expensive to produce. More people mean higher insurance rates, more portajon servicings, and higher departmental budget requests.
To simplify things for ourselves, there are going to be two major ticket tiers.
With increasing popularity of the event we have been selling more at the first level, as the only restriction was buying them by a certain deadline.
Last year, nearly HALF of all ticket sales were at the first-level which left us in a precarious situation as we struggled to cover expenses prior to the event.
This year, to be fair to our low-income participants while still ensuring we are fair to ourselves, the first level ticket tier will have a cap of 40 tickets.
They will start at $30 and will only be available for purchase online at www.recycledrainbow.org (starting March 1, 2010 at 8 PM.)
Once the $30 level has sold out, all tickets will be $45 until the first day of the event, Thursday, September 23, 2010. The $45 tickets will be available online, from Recycled Rainbow organizers and at select venues in the Cleveland/Akron area this spring/summer.
Please help our community and do your part: buy tickets at the highest price level you can afford. When you buy a higher priced ticket it allows lower-income members of our community to purchase tickets at price levels they can afford.
PayPal orders can be placed using all major cred cards (Amex, Discover, Visa and Mastercard). We will not accept personal checks. Tickets are non-refundable!
Tickets are free for children 12 and under accompanied with a parent or guardian. People 13-17 pay full price and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.
