Theme Camps At RR

What Is A Theme Camp?

A theme camp is a camp or collection of camps that centers itself around offering an interactive experience to its visitors. Theme camps are generally centered around a theme. Themes that work best are simple ones that revolve around a simple concept that is easily understandable by everyone or that provides an activity or service that people easily uunderstand. Theme camps should provide a visual ambience and communal activity space.

Theme camps can offer a wider range of ambience and activity. Depending on attendance, electric and water utilities may or may not be provided at camp locations. To help you get a location you require, you are encouraged to register your theme camp prior to the event. Registering your camp will also allow Recycled Rainbow to include your camp in the guide that will be available at the gate for arriving participants.

Theme camps need not be restricted to the public area only. The deepcycle dome theme camp, for instance last year was to be located in the wilderness area and to provide a dance club and tea house completely powered off renewable energy resources for those wishing to make the hike to the far reaches of the grounds.

Theme camps are required to follow the same guidelines as everyone else, they are required to pack out everything they pack in and are responsible for any structures they build.
